L B V 1 5 0 S    C H A R A C T E R I S T I C S


-LBV150S represents everything a compact ROV should be. Equipped with high performance thrusters, hi-res color camera, low light black and white camera, 150 meters of umbilical, auto functions and more the LBV150S has more features making it that much easier to operate and more capable.

-Included with the LBV150S system is the LBV150 ROV. The vehicle itself is the heart of the whole system. It is designed to be rugged with its five (5) isolated pressure vessels, integrated backbone assembly, and protective shell.

-The basis for the LBV150 is the backbone which is comprised of the front main housing, rear power can and back plane. All these items are integral and form what we call the backbone assembly. Then the thrusters, flotation module, protective shell and ballast tray are connected to form the complete LBV. The design allows for simple in field maintenance and repairs.

-Several added features include six (6) accessory ports, vacuum check valve for seal integrity, various leak detectors, stream line design and easily adjusted ballast.

-LBV is comprised of five (5) isolated pressure vessels; main housing and four (4) thrusters. At the core of these vessels is the main housing which is tied to the rear power can via a conduit tube. The acrylic view port is housed between two (2) hard anodized aluminum end caps and have three (3) accessory ports and a vacuum check valve. The power can is a hard anodized aluminum tube between two (2) glass filled Delrin end caps where the umbilical is connected. There is a single extra accessory port on the power can also. This whole assembly is potted to the back plane comprising what we call the backbone assembly.

-Mounted directly to the back plane are each of the four (4) thrusters. Each thruster is identical in design and can be mounted in any of the four (4) positions. By maintaining an isolated design should any one of the thrusters or the main housing flood the other pressure vessels are safe. Simply identify the flooded component, replace it and you are back in business.

-Mounted to the backbone is the flotation module. The flotation is a moulded shell that is injected with foam. Density of foam varies depending on depth rating.

-From here all additional components are mounted including the outer protective shell, ballast tray and bumper frame. The entire design offers a streamlined profile that is rugged and easy to work on.
