Sonavision - Press Release - October 21, 2005

Sonavision introduces new Hawkeye Camera for
use over long cables and umbilicals

Sonavision Limited have completed the development of a new model for the Hawkeye range of video cameras and have already delivered the first three cameras to a leading commercial diving company.

The Hawkeye 65CT, is a lightweight titanium housed colour camera, with electronics balanced line driver capable of delivering video over up to 500m twisted pair or 1000m coaxial cable.

Designed for use by commercial divers over long (and often noisy and poor quality) umbilicals, the camera weighs only 150g, and at 36mm diameter and 140mm long is ideal for mounting on a dive helmet. The camera also has applications for use on use ROVs where long line drive video is required.

The user is able to select from 3 output levels to maximise picture quality from a 0.2 lux colour module over different lengths and types of cables.

The camera is also available in plastic housing for shallow water use.
