Perry Slingsby Systems to Provide five (5) Heavy Lift Tether Management Systems to Subsea 7 Ltd.

Perry Slingsby Systems (PSS), an international supplier of remote intervention technologies and equipment systems, is pleased to announce that Subsea 7 has purchased five (5) Heavy Lift Tether Management Systems (TMS®) to interface with their latest fleet of Hercules ROV systems, which are currently in build.

PSS will provide Subsea 7 Ltd. with their latest design of high performance heavy lift capacity TMS®, the Enhanced Type III system. This system is the latest in the highly successful TMS® range designed and manufactured in the UK by PSS over many years, and features an extended tether length capacity, as well as an intelligent control system providing proportionally controlled tether pay-in and pay-out modes, programmable automatic line speed/pull routines for optimized and safer ROV / TMS® docking under unfavorable heave conditions subsea, and an improved tether deployment path for increased tether life and reliability.

This order will increase the total number of TMS® units delivered by PSS to over 170. Martin Anderson, Managing Director and CEO, Perry Slingsby Systems, commented “We are very pleased to be supporting Subsea 7 Ltd in meeting their ROV fleet expansion needs. The TMS® has long been a strength of PSS. New and evolving TMS® technologies, such as the Enhanced Type III system, are built upon solid experience and proven ideas.”
